Not every light that pleases the eye is necessarily good for the corals.
ReefLED provides a light intensity and spectrum that is 100% utilized by the corals for their energetic needs, while still maintaining a vivid, esthetic quality.
Light spectrum explained

The sun spectrum
Here is the visible light spectrum. If you go above 480 nm into the greens, yellows and reds, you could potentially harm the corals.
Beneficial light
The optimal spectrum for coral growth and color expression, is between 360 to 480 nm. We’re talking about UV and blue mainly, and not all of it is within the visible light range.
ReefLED
The ReefLED 90 has a compact LED array that provides 80W of REEF-SPEC Blue (a proprietary blend of blue, violet and ultraviolet), 20W of 9,000 Kelvin White, and a separate 3W channel for moonlight.
This color pallet is both esthetically pleasing and versatile, while allowing for optimal coral growth and coloration.

Optimal spread
ReefLED provides ideal PAR values throughout the aquarium, without hotspots or areas with insufficient light for coral growth.

PAR vs. PUR
Using PAR measurements only to determine light quality or compatibility of a specific light unit for coral photobiology can be misleading.
The PAR measurement was developed to measure the Photosynthetic Active Radiation of plants that is within the visible light region (400 -700 nm).
The Photosynthetic Utilized Radiation or PUR that is relevant for optimal Zooxanthellae photosynthesis is between 360- 480 nm which starts outside the range of visible light (measured by PAR meters) in the UV region and continues into the blue part of the visible light range.

Choose between 3 pre-built reef safe lighting programs. Or create and save your own programs.
Try it out:
ReefBeat is constantly in contact with your ReefLEDs and will send you a notification whenever communication is lost.
ReefBeat stores as many custom programs as you wish to create. Using the weekly schedule you can use the same program every day or select a different program for each day of the week.
The lunar cycle feature allows you to implement a 28-day moon phase cycle for the dedicated 3W moonlight channel, for reef-safe night-time viewing.
By setting a delay time between multiple ReefLEDs, you can create an enhanced sunrise/sunset effect along the length of your aquarium.
The acclimation program allows corals to get used to the ReefLED lights by starting at a lower intensity and gradually increasing the intensity each day over the entire acclimation period.
Reefbeat provides 3 levels of random cloud activity that will provide a natural “shading” effect for a specified period of the day.

Mounting & accessories
ReefLED 50 Arms
A universal mounting arm attaches firmly onto the rear wall of the tank and can be rotated from side to side during reefscaping or other tank maintenance.
Suitable for tank widths from 36-51cm / 14”-20” with glass thickness of 8-15 mm / 5/16”- 3/8”.
Universal mounting arm
ReefLED individual mounting arms attach firmly onto the rear wall of the tank and can be rotated to the upright position during reefscaping or other tank maintenance.
Set at the correct height above the aquarium, the mount arm can be adjusted to suit tank widths of 57-80cm (22.5”-32”) and with glass thickness of 8-19 mm / 5/16”- 3/4”.
Pendant
ReefLED Pendants for multiple ReefLED units are available with either black or white trim for an elegant look above regular and peninsula tanks.
Available in 4 models that are suitable for tank lengths from 75-228cm (30”-90”).
Customized 160S tray holds each unit securely in the pendant. The trays are purchased separately according to the numbers of ReefLED.
Clip-on Visor (Included)
To prevent unwanted glare the ReefLED 160S comes complete with a clip-on visor to limit the direct line-of-sight to the intense light source.
